Storage & QoL — Quick Reference
The mods that remove friction: inventory, death recovery, information, and base logistics. One-sentence tips for all of these: the QoL Cheat Sheet guide.
Inventory & storage
Sophisticated Backpacks / Sophisticated Storage — upgradable backpacks and chests (pickup, magnet, feeding, stack upgrades). The pack’s inventory answer. → Backpacks · Storage
Carry On — sneak + right-click to pick up chests (contents included), machines, and small mobs. → CurseForge
Client-side hand-helpers — Mouse Tweaks (drag/scroll stack handling) and Controlling (searchable keybinds). Small, install-and-forget.
Death & safety
Corail Tombstone — death drops everything into a grave; a soulbound key teleports you back, and dying grants “Knowledge of Death” perks over time. → CurseForge
Torchmaster — the Mega Torch: one block that suppresses hostile spawns in a large radius around your base. → CurseForge
Information
JEI — recipe lookup for all 284 mods (R recipe / U uses). The single most important mod in the pack.
→ CurseForge
Jade — the what-am-I-looking-at overlay, with block states and progress. → CurseForge
AppleSkin / Enchantment Descriptions — exact food values on hover; plain-language enchantment tooltips.
Xaero’s Minimap & World Map — the mapping suite, with waypoints and death markers. → Official site
Vanilla-plus glue
Quark (+ Zeta) — ~150 small “should have been vanilla” features: chest sorting, item pipes, new blocks, tweaks. → quarkmod.net (official)
Supplementaries — functional decor: ropes, pulleys, jars, sign posts, weather vanes, and dozens of interactive blocks. → CurseForge
Farms & recycling
Mob Grinding Utils — purpose-built mob-farm blocks: fans, mashers, XP taps. → CurseForge
Corail Spawners — spawners are silk-touchable and movable; a found spawner is a farm kit. → CurseForge
Uncrafting Table — break items back into ingredients; dungeon-loot gear is secretly raw materials. → CurseForge
Clumps — merges XP orbs; quietly keeps mob farms from lagging the server.
Camp cluster — Portable Crafting Table, Sleeping Bags (no spawn-set), and Portable Mobs for expeditions.
